Acts 2:26-28 Therefore did my heart rejoice, and my tongue was glad; moreover, also my flesh shall rest in hope: because thou wilt not leave my soul in hell, neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption. Thou hast made known to me the ways of life; thou shalt make me full of joy with thy countenance. ~ Peter was speaking to the multitude the things that David declared when he foresaw in the spirit the redemption and salvation of the promised Messiah. Because of the promise he saw in the spirit, it brought a response in his flesh, in his present situation. His heart rejoiced, his tongue was glad, and his flesh rested in hope. He knew that no matter what his current situation was, salvation and redemption was on its way!
We don’t have to be overtaken by a situation. We don’t have to fear or stress. God will not leave us nor forsake us. He always makes a way of escape for us. It doesn’t matter where we find ourselves or what things rise up against us. If we will call upon the name of The Lord, he immediately hears from heaven and moves on our behalf. He doesn’t turn a deaf ear to us. When we cry, our Father comes running! You may not see the immediate result of your cry but understand that as soon as you cry out, there is a response from heaven. Hold fast to the promise. Don’t fear, God is with you. He is for you.
