Zechariah 3:1-2 And he showed me Joshua the high priest standing before the angel of the Lord, and Satan standing at his right hand to resist him. And the Lord said unto Satan, the Lord rebuke thee, o Satan; even the Lord that hath chosen Jerusalem rebuke thee: is not this a brand plucked out of the fire? ~ Fire is used to purify metals. In the purifying process of gold and silver, the fire heats up the metals causing the impurities to come to the surface so that they can be removed out of the metals so that all that remains is the valuable precious metals. The more pure the metal, the more valuable it is.
In our Christian walk, the fire represents the trials and tribulations that we go through designed by the enemy to destroy us but purposed by God to refine, purify, and to set us free from shackles and chains that the enemy has placed us in. It’s in the fire that we are set free and changed from glory to glory. In these verses, it reveals to us that when God’s purpose is completed in the fire, He plucks us out or snatches us out of the fire. He rebukes the enemy and brings an end to the process.
As you continue to read the scripture, we see that God doesn’t address the filthy garment of Joshua nor his iniquity but he causes his iniquity to pass from him and gives him a change of raiment. God then sets a mitre on his head, indicating authority and then brings forth promotion to Joshua by giving him places to walk before his people.
So be encouraged today that God will not leave you in the fire. At the end of his purpose being done, he will snatch you out of the fire, change your garment and cause you to walk in greater anointing, greater authority, and greater influence. He will not leave you in the fire! He will not let your enemy triumph over you. He is faithful that promised.
