2 Corinthians 5:9-10 Wherefore we labor, that, whether present or absent, we may be accepted of him. For we must all appear before the judgement seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad. ~ Every person ever born will face judgement day, whether before God at the great white throne judgement for those who denied Christ and refused to accept the free gift of salvation or the judgement seat of Christ, for those who have received him as their Lord and Savior. On that day, we will give account for how we lived on this earth, what we did with our talents, and how we spent our time.
Saints, we must not forget that we are living for eternity, we are living to hear ‘well done good and faithful servant.’ When I stand before the judgement seat of Christ, I don’t want to be found lacking. I don’t want to be ashamed because out of my hard heart, doubt, and unbelief, I refused to be about my Father’s business. I want to be found faithful, even in the mundane things. We have to guard our hearts and our minds that we don’t become bored with the things of God and begin to count them as common. We have to guard our hearts against the subtle attacks of the enemy that seeks to steal our time, our talents, and our effectiveness in the kingdom. We have to guard our hearts so that our love for God and for his kingdom does not waiver. We must be about the Father’s business if we want to hear ‘well done thou good and faithful servant. Enter into the joy of The Lord.’ Let’s be mindful of God today and be about the Father’s business.
