Matthew 11:3-4 And said unto him, art thou he that should come, or do we look for another? Jesus answered and said unto them, Go and Shew John again those things which ye do hear and see. ~ When we spend time in the word and time in God’s presence, he will speak to us and give us vision. In that moment, faith is awakened, joy is full, and we run in the strength and power of that word. But many times in the process of time, we will see things that are contrary, there are often delays in the manifestation of the promise, and sometimes things appear to get worse. But that does not change what God has said! Heaven and earth may pass away but his word does not! It will be fulfilled. It will stand the test of time.
In Philippians 4 Paul encourages us to think on things that are true. The word that God has given us is true regardless of what it looks like, despite what our circumstances say. If we will hold fast to the promise, if we will keep our thoughts and mind on his truth, it will strengthen and fortify us. It will ward off every lie and every attack of the enemy. We have to refuse to allow the enemy to steal what God has said by seeding our thought life with things that are contrary to truth. We must bring every thought captive. We must bring to remembrance those things which he has spoken. Grab a hold of them in faith knowing that God will be faithful to his word.
