2 Corinthians 4:17-18 For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory; while we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal: but the things which are not seen are eternal. ~ The Bible promises that we as Christians will go through afflictions, trouble, and pressures in life – but it only lasts for a moment! Victory in overcoming these things is very much dependent upon our perspective; what we are focusing on and how we mentally view them. When our focus is on the things we feel and see in this natural world, it will cause us to forget the truth of the word of God. These things will become so magnified that we get to the point of feeling hopeless and just wanting them to end and unfortunately many times that’s when people will abort process and not come into perfection in the things of the spirit. This is also an indication to our enemy that as long as the pressures and trouble in life lasts long enough, we will cave in.
Many times when we quit and give up, it makes it easier for us to do it again in the future. But if we will allow our perspective of things to be governed by what the word of God says and we hold onto the promise of God that we CAN do all things through Christ which strengthens us, it will empower us to endure and bring us into perfection and the perfect will of God for our lives. Refuse to quit! You have the spirit of your father living on the inside of you that empowers you and enables you to persevere and overcome. Everyone born of his spirit overcomes the world through faith. You only have to believe and press through! Submit to God, resist the devil and he will flee!
