Psalm 19:14 Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O Lord, my strength, and my redeemer. ~ This is a prayer of David that is recorded in the Bible. This reveals to us that there is a way that we can talk and think that is not pleasing to The Lord. In this same Psalm, David speaks of the reward and preservation that is found in the statutes and the law of The Lord.
When we allow the meditation of our heart and the words of our mouth be in line with the word of God, it will bring us into liberty and freedom in Christ, it brings us into righteousness and salvation. But if we aren’t meditating on the truth of the word of God, our thoughts alone have the power to keep us separated from God’s best for our lives. As a man thinketh in his heart, so is he. Our thoughts have the power to keep us in barren places, dry places, in wilderness places, and in weakness. But our thoughts also have the power to bring us into life and fruitful places, joy and strength, when they are in alignment with God’s word and truth. If we want to fulfill prophetic destiny, we need to be more mindful of what we allow ourselves to think upon and what we allow to come out of our mouth.
