Romans 5:1 Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: by whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. ~ Through the works of Christ on Calvary, we can stand in confidence, in faith knowing that we have not only been rescued from the power of sin and death but have been justified (made innocent, righteous, and holy). This has nothing to do with our ability or our own righteousness but with the righteousness of Christ. It is just up to us to believe in the truthfulness of God and his word.
Not only have we been justified by Christ but we also through faith have access into the grace of God. Grace is defined as the divine influence on the heart, (our perception and our thoughts will determine if we connect with God’s divine intentions and expectations for our lives) acceptance, benefit, favor, gift, and liberality. It’s something given to us by God to aid us, to help us, and empower us to walk in victory in this life. It’s an unfair advantage that he gives us over our enemy to ensure our victory and to promote our well being. God gives us advantages for our success! So it’s through grace that we stand steadfast in the things of the kingdom. It’s through this grace, this power that we run our race and win!
