James 5:16 Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much. ~ We need to come into an understanding of how powerful and effective our prayers are.
This scripture reveals to us that our prayers are not just empty words that float off into the atmosphere but they are powerful, filled with life, and work effectively on our behalf or on the behalf of the petitions that we have brought before God. Our prayers have power and exercise force. They have the ability to bring forth God’s will and plan for every situation. They have the power to bring forth salvation, to bring forth healing, to set the oppressed and the bound free. Our prayers have the ability to stop the rain or bring an end to drought and famines. Prayer is an avenue that God gives to man so that man can enjoin himself with the kingdom of God and stay connected to the power that is available in the kingdom of God. Jesus said that he has given unto us all power and all authority. This is released through prayer accompanied with faith. Our prayers are powerful and effective.
We have the ability to change situations……and it’s through prayer.
