Psalm 27:1-3 The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid? When the wicked, even mine enemies and my foes, came upon me to eat up my flesh, they stumbled and fell. Though an host should encamp against me, my heart shall not fear: though war should rise against me, in this will I be confident. ~ The depth of our confidence in God is based upon the depth of us knowing God. If we’ve never come to know him as faithful, when the storms of life or periods of afflictions and trials arise, we will waiver and our strength will be small. But those that know their God shall be strong. They will be unmovable because they stand upon the rock that never moves, the rock that never changes, the rock that never fails.
One of the greatest things that we must learn as Christians is that our feelings, our circumstances, and our enemies cannot change who God is or who he has created us to be. They cannot change the nature of our Father. He is good all the time, no matter what we are experiencing or what we are feeling. Our lives are bigger than our moments and how we feel in the moment has no bearing on the outcome of our situations. Your enemy may be surrounding you, for the moment it may seem that they will overtake you, but those that put their trust and their hope in The Lord will not be ashamed. Our God is fighting for us. We don’t have to fear because our God never loses! He allows our enemies to rise up against us so that we may overtake them. So today, don’t trust your feelings, don’t be moved by your circumstances, and don’t believe the lies of your enemy. Put your trust in The Lord, wait patiently for him and know that he shall bring forth the victory!
