2Peter 2:9 The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgement to be punished. ~ As I was reading this, The Lord began to speak to me about the judgements that came to the inhabitants of the earth. Some were condemned unto death while others were delivered and brought unto salvation. He then started to speak to me about how each one of us must protect the victories that we’ve won through our faith walk in the earth.
The devil is more subtle than any other creature. He will come and slowly try to steal these victories to cause us to return to our old man, our old ways~ just like the dog returning to his own vomit and the sow that was washed to her wallowing in the mire. The enemy will try to erode our foundations and our boarders by causing us to grow weary because of the battle or the length of the season so that we let our guard down and begin to discount the things and victories that we have won through faith. We must remember that there is a prize to be won and that the things we are fighting for are eternal. Each one of us will be rewarded for the lives we live in the earth, either good or bad. Every decision that we make will either bring us a step closer to our end destination or further away. The choice is ours. And though The Lord makes a way of escape for each one of us, we must be the ones who choose daily to take that way of escape.
Let’s examine ourselves today to see if there is any area in our lives that we are giving place to the devil due to weariness or slumbering. Let’s not be as the dog or the sow. Let’s hold fast to the victories that Lord has given us.
