Proverbs 1:33 Whoso hearkeneth unto me shall dwell safely, and shall be quiet from fear of evil. ~ We need to be sure to give heed to the still quiet voice of Holy Spirit. He will lead us, guide us, and preserve us, but we have to obey what we hear. Sometimes he will tell us to do something or not do something and at the time it might not make sense but understand he knows the schemes and the weapons of the enemy. We need to practice hearing and listening to his voice. For if we do, his voice will become more clear and easier to hear. If we don’t, we harden our hearts and give place to the enemy.
I heard a gentleman tell a story of how a man and his wife were on a plane getting ready to take off and The Lord told him to get off the plane, so they did. Only to find out a few minutes later that there was an accident as the plane was taking off and the wing of the aircraft was ripped off right where they were sitting, 60 people were killed. If they had not listened, they would have died, not fulfilling destiny.
If you feel The Lord direct you to do something, no matter how minor or insignificant it may seem, be obedient. For in it is life and preservation.
