Mark 6:48 And he saw them toiling in rowing; for the wind was contrary unto them: and about the fourth watch of the night he cometh unto them, walking upon the sea, and would have passed by them. ~ When we read this account, we know that Jesus went unto them and immediately the wind ceased. In other passages of scripture, not only did the wind cease but they were immediately at the place where God directed them and appointed them to go.
A lot of times, God will give us direction and vision for our lives and as we are running towards that, there will be things that rise up against us that cause us great struggle or toil. Toil means to struggle, to battle. It means to work hard for a long time, to move slowly and with a lot of effort. But understand that in the midst of the toiling, God sees us. He is aware of our struggle and our battle. Though it be a long laborious journey, if we will continue to press through the hindrance and resistance, God will come. We will come into supernatural encounters with him that will not only bring us to an end of our toiling but will bring us into the fullness of his purpose and vision. In the midst of the toiling, in the midst of journey, we are changed. God uses these times to remove things from our lives that would eventually be a stumbling block to us. And he adds to our lives patience, strength, character, endurance, etc. things that we will need to be victorious in every area. Nothing is wasted with God. He is able to use everything for our good. He is also the God of redemption and restoration. He has the ability to redeem time and restore anything that was lost or stolen by the enemy and time delays. We can trust Him. He is faithful who promised and not one word that he has spoken concerning our lives will fall to the ground if we will submit ourselves to his process and trust him to accomplish it! Our God is faithful and he is coming towards us!!
