Zechariah 3:7 Thus saith the Lord of hosts; if thou wilt walk in my ways, and if thou wilt keep my charge, then thou shalt also judge my house, and shalt also keep my courts, and I will give thee places to walk among these that stand by. ~ As we keep our focus and our eyes on the Lord and walk according to his word, he causes us to grow spiritually and brings us into greater realms of influence that we might be effective in this world and establish God’s kingdom and government in the earth.
As we grow in faith and in faithfulness to the Lord, he brings us into greater depths of power, authority, and anointing. But we first have to walk in his ways and keep his charge. Just as you don’t set a novice in office, God isn’t going to set us in spiritual places and realms of influence that we aren’t spiritually mature enough to handle. Length of time or number of years being saved doesn’t mean that we are a spiritually mature person. If you find yourself in the same place year after year and find yourself struggling with the same sins and short comings year after year, it’s probably a good indication that you are lacking in these areas. God is looking for a people whom he can show himself strong to. He is looking for a people whom he can use in these last days to bring a world-wide revival. Time is growing short and God needs a people who will hold fast to truth and walk in his ways. It’s time for us to reevaluate ourselves, to put away those things that easily beset us, and to reset our focus on things that are eternal.
