Zechariah 4:6-7 Then he answered and spake unto me, saying, This is the word of the Lord unto Zerubbabel, saying, not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the Lord of hosts. Who art thou, o great mountain? Before Zerubbabel thou shalt become a plain: and he shall bring forth the headstone thereof with shoutings, crying, Grace, grace unto it. ~ The Lord keeps bringing me to this passage of scripture. He wants us to know that no matter how great the circumstance, no matter how big the mountain, God will cause it to become a plain. It’s not by the strength and power of man but by God’s spirit. Though I do not see any change with my physical eyes, I am in great expectation of what God is doing on behalf of them that love him.
Zerubbabel was building the temple under the decree of Cyrus until a conspiracy and government corruption stopped it. But 17 years later, a new decree was issued upholding the former judgments of King Cyrus. There was not only provision given for the building of the temple but provision for the sacrifices to be made in the temple. No matter how long the delay, if God spoke it, he will establish it. Delays are not denials. I believe that there is coming an abrupt end to delays. I am in expectation that the things God has spoken concerning his children are springing forth.
