Psalm 37:7 Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass. ~ God has appointed times of promotion, blessing, and harvest for each one of us. Each set time is specific to that individual and not based upon another. The set time also may not be to a specific date but based upon an appointed time when the process is completed.
This verse instructs us that we are to wait patiently on the Lord knowing that he is the one who brings the increase. We are to calm ourselves, to quiet ourselves and wait patiently for him. The fallen nature of man is one that compares itself to another when the Bible tells us that we aren’t supposed to. And if we aren’t careful to guard ourselves from this, the enemy can gain an advantage in us by breeding jealousy, envy, anger, etc. because we may see people around us coming into their harvest times quickly where it seems that we may still be ‘stuck’ in our process. We must guard our hearts because the enemy is subtle and would love to sow us with these things to get us to abort process. This would give him place to steal our harvest and keep us in the process that much longer. We must refuse to be moved and rejoice with those who rejoice knowing that God is not a respecter of persons. When you see someone else promoted and prospered, know that God will do the same for you. We cannot compare our harvest time to another’s because our harvests are not the same and our process may not be the same. We have to stand and stay committed to process knowing that the Lord is faithful. We also know that scripture tells us that he that waits upon the Lord shall inherit the earth. The Lord will bring us into the fullness of what he has planned for our lives if we will trust him and keep our focus on him!
