In John 10:24 Then came the Jews round about him, and said unto him, How long dost thou make us to doubt? If thou be the Christ, tell us plainly. ~ When the Jews came and questioned Jesus, his response to them was “I told you, and ye believed not: the works that I do in my Father’s name, they bear witness of me.” When we begin to discover our identity and who God has created us to be, our lives should begin to change and works manifested. As we discover him and who he has created us to be, we begin to be changed from the inside out. Our desires and appetites will begin to be changed. The things we once held dear will begin to lose their value and we begin to place value on Kingdom things. In Phil 2 it says that his spirit works in us both to will and to do. He places the desire within us and then empowers us to see those desires fulfilled in our lives. If he has called us to be a teacher of the gospel, we will have desires to learn and to gain understanding of what his word says. And as we begin to grow in understanding, we will begin to share and teach the things that we have learned. If we are called to sing, we will have a passion for music. If we are called to be intercessors, we will be people who are sensitive to spiritual things and have a desire to pray. What God calls us to do something; he equips us and empowers us to do it. Our lives are hid in Christ. As we discover who he is, we will begin to discover who we are and what he has called us to do. As we discover him, our hearts will change and hold valuable those things that he holds valuable.
