Daniel 1:8, 19 But Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself with the portion of the king’s meat, nor with the wine which he drank… And the king communed with them: and among them all was found none like Daniel… ~ During their time of captivity, Daniel and the other Israelite children purposed in their heart not to defile themselves with the things of the world. And because they purposed to keep themselves undefiled, God added unto them knowledge, skill in all learning, and wisdom so that there were not any others that could compare to them.
The decisions we make and how we keep ourselves in our times of captivity, times of obscurity when no one else sees will define who we are in our time of showing. God sees the purposes that we set in our hearts and the integrity that we walk in when no one else sees and He will reward us openly. People will take note that we have been with God.
Let us purpose in our hearts to keep ourselves undefiled and unspotted from the things of this world.
