Psalm 34: 4, 17 I sought the Lord, and he heard me and delivered me from all of my fears. The righteous cry, and the Lord heareth and delivereth them out of all their troubles. ~ This entire chapter talks about God’s willingness to help us in our time of need. It reveals to us the nature and character of God. One of the words used to define the word ‘heard’ is answer. When God hears our cry, it immediately positions Him in a place to respond to us. It’s like when a mother hears the cry of a new born baby, something within her is moved, aroused to go to that baby and nurture the baby and meet the needs of that child. That is how God is with us. We are born of his spirit and when our cry comes into his ears, it causes him to be aroused and to move on our behalf.
