John 21:3,6 Simon Peter saith unto them, I go a fishing. They say unto him, we also go with thee. They went forth, and entered into a ship immediately; and that night they caught nothing. And he (Jesus) said unto them, Cast the net on the right side of the ship, and ye shall find. They cast therefore, and now they were not able to draw it for the multitude of fishes. ~ There are times when we strive and do things on our own that avail nothing except frustration and weariness. A lot of times this happens when we presumptuously step out and do things in our own wisdom and understanding without praying and allowing God to direct us and give us his wisdom. The disciples were in the vicinity of where the fish were, they just needed a word of wisdom to make a slight adjustment to bring forth the abundance of fish.

How many times have we missed the blessing of God because we presumptuously do things in our own reasoning and understanding? God sees all and knows all so let’s give him access into our lives and decisions through prayerfully considering things and not moving until he tells us. Let’s not let time determine our harvest times or our actions, but let’s let God determine them. It is his desire to give unto us the kingdom. He is not withholding from us. We just have to take the time and allow him to speak to us.

Father I pray for your wisdom and direction for your people. Let us have hearing ears to hear your wisdom and direction. Let us not step out presumptuously but let us wait and step out in faith when we have heard your voice concerning our situations.
