Isaiah 41:10 Fear thou not, for I am with thee: be not dismayed: for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness. ~ This morning I got a new appreciation for the mercy, love, and kindness of my Heavenly Father. Not only is God able to help us overcome circumstances and an enemy that seeks to destroy us, but he is also able to help us overcome our biggest enemy, our biggest opponent ~ SELF.
God is able to change us from the inside out. He is able to change our nature and who we are on the inside. We are partakers of his nature through the work that he does in us. This is not something that can be achieved through discipline but it’s something that is done when we ourselves are changed by the word of God and his presence in our lives. He has the ability to set us free from fears that bind us and insecurities that make us ‘touchy’ or offend-able when we are under scrutiny of another.
I am so thankful that God doesn’t leave me in the same condition that he found me. I am thankful that when he puts his finger on these things in my life and reveals them to me, he does it in love and a willingness to help me walk through the process so that these things can be eradicated from my life. He doesn’t condemn me when he shows me these things but he loves me through the process.
Jesus, help us to embrace the process and rejoice in these times knowing that we are being changed to be more like you!
