Zechariah 2:4 And said unto him, Run, speak to this young man, saying, Jerusalem shall be inhabited as towns without walls for the multitude of men and cattle therein. ~This prophetic declaration had nothing to do with the state of Jerusalem in the moment it was declared. It was a prophetic declaration of something that God was going to do at an appointed time. Many times God will give us a promise or speak things concerning our lives and at the moment they are spoken, everything in our life seems to be diametrically opposed to what he said. But this promise is given so that we set our focus on The Lord and not our current situation. We can’t allow what we see or feel in the moment we are in to determine our future.
Our life is bigger than our moment. No matter where you find yourself, don’t quit. God is not done working on your behalf. Stir yourself and rise up. Don’t allow emotions, flesh, circumstance, or the devil limit who you are or what God can do in your life. Don’t sell out your future for a momentary season that will change. Our society and the world lives for the moment. Christians are to live for eternity! Set your focus on things above and refuse to be moved. Refuse to allow how you feel to determine what you do or how you live.
