Psalm 91:9-10 Because thou hast made The Lord, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation: there shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling. ~ There is a secret place the righteous can go to. It’s a place of life, a place of comfort, and place to strength and fortification. It’s a place of shelter where we can rest in the midst of the storm. It’s a place of truth that defines who we are and shuts out the voice of the enemy. It’s a place where we discover who HE has made us to be.
In John 14:30, Jesus told his disciples that the Prince of this world (Satan) was coming and hath nothing in him. We can live in a place so far separated from the voice and influence of the devil that the devil has no impact or bearing on who we are. We can abide in a place in God where insecurities and fear are broken off. We can live in a place of absolute freedom in Christ Jesus…. but the choice is ours. We determine where we want to abide. We determine who we yield our members to. We determine who’s voice we listen to. The Lord is my stay. I choose Him! There’s no place I would rather be, than here in his love. He truly is the only one who satisfies. He is the Lover of my Soul. My delight is in Him. You can take the World, just give me Jesus!!
Psalm 37:3 Trust in The Lord, and do good: so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed. ~ Doing good in this scripture is talking about living according to the laws and government of the Kingdom of God. If we want to inherit the kingdom and live in heaven for eternity, we must adhere to the word of The Lord and allow it to define how we are to live. Proverbs 14:12 says that there is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death. The Bible says that in the last days that there would be a great falling away. This is talking about the church moving away from sound doctrine. Right now we are seeing men forsaking the basic doctrines of the Word of God and following after what they think is right. They have forgotten that the Bible says that God never changes and his Word never changes, therefore the gospel of Christ, the need for atonement through the blood of Jesus for salvation never changes. We must adhere to sound doctrine and not be moved by man’s opinion or wisdom if we want to dwell in the promised land for eternity. We must guard our hearts and have understanding of what the Bible says so that we can live and do good according to scripture. Let’s be a people who are unmoveable!
